Create Base plate for the pool
Dimensions- strength of the base plateOne can use a 25 cm drainpipe-15 cm steel mat. This may be okay in the lowlands with mild climate, but my pool has a hillside situation, and, even more importantly: it is in Austria with very cold winters (-25 °). Also, if one asks around in the area, the rule is for a good base plate, it should be 50 cm. Even better still, 60 cm of frost casing and 20 cm of base plate with 2x steel mats. Because the swimming-pool is filled, nevertheless, in winter with water, the Draining can be laid out much more thinly. My frost casing is approx. 10 cm+20 cm of concrete with two positions Q80 of mild steel mats.
Mark out the base plate poolTo be able to get a precise picture, one should mark the base plate before having a look at it from the distance. If everything fits, half a meter should be marked all around the base plate to be able to work in the pit. I have calculated the depth so that the swimming pool is 20-30 cm from the ground and should resist rainwater.
Excavation for the pool base plateWith it leveled accurately the bottom can be dug up with the excavator. The technology shaft is dug about 50 cm before, 50 cm of step, more deep. The shaft from the house to the pool is laid with light slope to be able to empty the tubes in winter. The electric cable and the water pipe are within 20 cm of earth.
I have built about 10 cm 30th grit to the balance. Important: keep measuring!
Correcting the form if the ground is condensed is very difficult.
Board / armoring introduceEverything must be precise. There should only be 1 mm worth to measure. The base plate is 5 cm bigger than the masonry later. Then comes the outside formwork and a foil. The foil is used to prevent the capillary effect, i.e. the water gets stuck in the base plate.

Tip: Measure right cornerTo measure a right corner for the formwork of the base plates, one measures 3 meters and 4 meters on the side. The diagonal must have exactly 5 meters. Sentence of the Pythagoras (a ²+b ² = c ²). The small corner suffices even in small places: 120 cm, 160 cm and the diagonal, then 200 cm On many rulers right corners are marked (three lengths bend, then it looks like 4).
Polish the second positioned steel gridNow the prepared framework of the pool is inserted and fixed precisely with the ground finish nozzles and ground expiry in the upper edge of the base plate. Afterwards, the distance holders for the second position mild steel grid are formed.
Technology shaft shutter
The technology shaft to the swimming pool should become 50 cm deep, so that one will be able to stand upright. I have laid the tube for the nozzles in the 100th pipe. Thus they remain movable if the valves must be exchanged later and it is easier to control. Between the steel mats the grounding volume still comes from the foundation ground electrode and FI.
Base plate concrete
For the base plate one needs about 11.5 ms ³ concrete, thus two Truck loads. To concrete the step with the technology shaft the following trick helps: Fill only the step with concrete (upper edge below), and then concrete first the base plate on top. In the time the concrete dries it will not run out. The concrete condenses. I will smooth it later with a balance mass. If concrete on the PVC tube dries it can easily be beaten off after it dries. While concreting, be careful around the installation parts. I have fastened the PVC tubes with cable binder to the mat below so it does not bloat with concrete. Afterwards, pour in the fresh concrete. If holds better than to drill and hit later. Because it was so hot, the tube was difficult to hold during the rest of the day.
Ready base plate swimming-pool
Create part of the concrete paving slab and clearly put it on the building site.
From the excavation up to the last step it has lasted about 2 ½ days (incl. holiday).
